San Diego Chiropractor Shares Research Study: Chiropractic Care Decreases Disability In Work-Related Low Back Injury

August 29, 2017

A recent study by Cifuentes et al.,(1) published March 14, 2011 in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, followed 894 cases of work-related low back pain (LBP) compared the results of care from physical therapists or physicians or chiropractors.

The authors concluded:

“Conclusions: In work-related nonspecific LBP, the use of health maintenance care provided by physical therapist or physician services was associated with a higher disability recurrence than in chiropractic services or no treatment.”
